SWEET SUCCESS FROM KAREN IN BREVARD'S HOME GARDEN:
Three years ago my husband and I bought a house that had a mango tree in the back yard. We were very excited when the tree was ready for harvest. There were about sixty mangos on the 20-ft tall tree. The fruit was okay, with a semi-sweet taste. The next season I used basic hardware store fertilizers. The tree produced a little more fruit, but the texture, taste and size of the mangos didn’t change much.
Then I found an article about organic liquid fertilizers. I liked the sound of the whole “organic thing.” Especially because my family and friends would be eating the mangos.
